They created Starclassic Maple drums...and ignited the thin-shell revolution. And now the new Exotic Finish line offers beautiful, one-of-a-kind exotic wood exteriors for that extra luxurious touch.
Numerous options are available to meet the varied and critical needs of professional drummers including a selection of more than 30 different shell sizes. Starclassic Maple also features three shell hardware finishes to choose from: Black Nickel, Chrome and Smoked Black Nickel. Starclassic Maple is simply an unprecedented combination of sight and sound.

Shell Hardware

When selecting professional drums, you want an appearance as distinctive as the sound. Starclassic Maple now offers the choice of shell hardware finished in Chrome, the Black Nickel, Smoked Black Nickel Plated.

To order Starclassic Maple drums with Black Nickel Plated hardware simply add the letters "B" for exotic finishes (ME) or "BN" for standard lacquer finishes (MA). To order Starclassic Maple drums with Smoked Black Nickel Plated hardware simply add the letters "U" .

MODEL NUMBER SYSTEM

This is the model number system diagram for individual drums.

DESCRIPTION

This diagram shows the numbering system for a single drum.
For example, take part number "MAB2218DN".
The following meanings are assigned to each letter:
The first is the type of wood.
The second is the type of finish. E for exotic wood finish. A for lacquer finish. R for duracover wrap finish.
The third is the type of drum: B for bass drum, T for tom-tom, F for floor tom, and S for snare drum.
The fourth and fifth numbers are the diameter.
The sixth and seventh numbers are the depth.
The eighth number is for the tom holder base. D: with tom holder base. Z: without tom holder base.
The ninth is the color of the hardware parts. B or BN for black nickel hardware. U for brushed hardware. None for chrome hardware.
